MANAGER, STRATEGY AND CHANGE
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to works cross functionally to deliver on the strategic plan of the institute. The role will report
to the Executive Director and work closely with the executive team to implement and review/update the ongoing strategy for the institute.
Responsibilities
He/she will among other things:

  • Design, implement and manage a framework for the implementation of the institute’s strategic plan and operational plans
  • Support the Executive team in making key decisions by conducting and/or coordinating the appropriate strategic analysis
  • Ensure that all key stakeholders of the institute are informed or consulted on extent of the achievements of the strategic milestones
  • Oversee the development of detailed scopes, milestones, financials and resource needs for the strategic programs via Directors, Chief Managers and Managers and provide support on critical issues and risks as they arise.
  • Develop and implement a change program to facilitate culture change for the entire institute and ensure that those impacted upon adopt and own the new processes, ways of working, and systems associated with the change programme
  • Structure and oversee a monthly steering committee for implementation of the strategic plan
  • Present progress reports and raise issues and risks impacting the operating environment to the executive team on a monthly basis

Requirements

  • A university degree and post graduate qualification in business and strategy management
  • Demonstrable logical and structured approach to problem solving
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic ability
  • Ability to identify better ways to accomplish goals and exceed expectations
  • Experience of managing complex cross functional, often IT enabled projects
  • Exposure to risk management in a multi-project environment
  • Influencing and facilitation skills
  • Effective communication skills at all levels (verbal & written)

MANAGER, PUBLIC RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATION
Reporting to the Chief Manager, Corporate Services, the successful candidate will take a lead role in spearheading the PR and communication
strategies for the institute.
Responsibilities
He/she will among other things:

  • Design, formulate and oversee the implementation of the institute’s entire public relations and publicity programs
  • Develop and implement a communication strategy that will provide guidance and direction to all strategic business units (SBU’s) of the institute
  • Develop and implement a brand strategy and process for the institute
  • Ensure all the information on services offered by the entire institute are well updated and communicated
  • Manage the website and ensure all communication and material of the institute is regularly updated
  • Ensure that the Institute’s corporate image is enhanced and maintained
  • Develop and implement the CSR strategy for the institute

Requirements

  • A university degree and post graduate qualification in business, public relations and communications and/or journalism
  • At least 4 to 5 years hands on experience handling public relations and communications in a busy environment. Must have the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships
  • Excellent oral and written communication with the ability to connect with a wide variety of audiences
  • Should have experience managing a team and possess skills that will enable people to achieve performance goals

MANAGER, RECOGNITION AND AWARDS SCHEMES
Reporting to the Chief Manager, Corporate Services, the successful candidate will coordinate and oversee the policies and standards for all
recognition and awards schemes for the institute, including the Company of the Year Awards.
Responsibilities:
He/she will among other things:

  • Design and implement the operating framework for all recognition and awards schemes
  • Spearhead the design and development of the tools and procedures for use with all the awards schemes in the institute and ensure high standards are maintained
  • Develop capacity for the implementation of the awards schemes within the relevant strategic business units
  • Ensure quality standards of the awards schemes and set up mechanisms of ensuring continuous improvement of all award programs in the institute
  • Develop the framework for mobilising support for the awards
  • Pursue partnerships for the implementation of the awards schemes
  • Ensure that there is synergy between the various awards

Requirements

  • A university degree and post graduate qualification in Commerce or Business Administration degree from a recognized university
  • Professional marketing and/or communications qualifications
  • Demonstrable creative problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic ability
  • Effective communication skills at all levels (verbal & written) with strong Influencing and facilitation skills
  • Very good understanding and experience in management

MANAGER, LEGAL AFFAIRS & COLLABORATIONS
The job will be responsible for the institute’s legal matters which include implementation of contract management System, negotiations, drafting
and vetting of contracts.
Responsibilities
He/she will among other things:

  • Advise the Executive Director and the Management on all legal matters affecting the institute and draft legal advice and opinion on behalf of the institute
  • Draft and review legal documents like the institute leases, contracts, rules, conventions, orders, awards, MOU’s and declarations of the institute
  • Attend, appear and arrange for representation of the institute in legal capacity
  • Make follow up of published Acts of Parliament, Regulations, Orders, Court’s and Tribunals Judgments
  • Develop the policy and quality assurance framework for the institute’s linkages and collaborations
  • Monitor progress on implementation and report on all collaborations
  • Provide any technical assistance for trouble shooting all issues relating to the institute collaborations
  • Develop all communication channels relevant to the job

Requirements
The ideal candidate must be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with at least 4 years experience working with a leading law firm or corporate
legal department.

MANAGER, MEMBERSHIP EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
This position will be responsible for developing and implementing the framework for the development and implementation of the certification of
practicing managers.
Responsibilities
He/she will among other things:

  • Design, formulate and oversee the implementation of a framework for the development and certification of managers
  • Develop and roll out a curriculum for the certification of managers and establish a certification system
  • Spearhead efforts and consensus building for a management practices code of conduct
  • Accelerate the process of operationalisation of a Managers’ Bill to regulate the practice of management
  • Create leadership mentoring and coaching programs for upcoming managers
  • Maintain a directory and create forums for interaction amongst the Certified Managers
  • Develop communication strategies to sensitize organizations on the need to employ Certified Managers

Requirements

  • A University degree in a Business field and a postgraduate qualification in curriculum development
  • A very strong research background.
  • Experience in curriculum development
  • Very good understanding and experience in all fields of management
